Debian Linux extend a certain folder to another mount?

Hey all,

I'm not really a linux guru, so I've come to ask for your help. I have a system that does passive network monitoring, that we no longer have support on, but we are sitll using (their company went out of business). One item that we are constantly running into, is that the monitoring database server is constantly running out of space due to the size constraint of only 130GB available space. That space fills quickly when you are doing 100+Mbit of traffic consistently. I have two brand new 300GB drives I am going to install into a RAID1 config, so an additional 300GB mount available into that server.

I would like to somehow mount an extension for this drive /dev/sda3 so that should it run out of space, it extends onto the new drive... possible? This is an older server, don't think these are ext3 but can't remember how to check... fdisk doesn't list it, or I'm not finding the command to list it.

Thanks so much for the help!
