linux server Debian vs Ubuntu vs CentOS

Hello,

I have a typical question you may have sen it, but I just want to make sure!

we are working on a school website with allot of database usage(number of users will be 250)
the system will be based on Apache, PHP and Postgre Database


now I have a good knowledge with Ubuntu Desktop, so?

Debian based system vs CentOS ?
if Debian -> Debian vs Ubuntu Server?
if Ubuntu Server -> 8.04 vs 9.04 ?

is CentOS and Debian are easy to install and maintain as Ubuntu Server?

we just want to be small nice clean there is not a really need for GUI
secured and stable!


what are your suggestions?
