That sounds encouraging. Could you elaborate on what alien does? Also what does SCL mean?
Has anyone had experience in this scenario and could tell me if 12.5 is ready as is for Debian?

Just remember to install libstdc++ as per the notes in the SCL.

I still didn't upgade to 12.5, but up until 11 I've used the RALUS agent with Debian with no issues. Just converted the rpm with alien, and installed the package. In the latest SCL looks like Debian is supported too, so perhaps they also have the package directly in deb format?
