At the top of your proftpd.conf, to disable IPv6 support, add the following line:

UseIPv6 off

As for ssh, take a look here...

Yes, but I have others services running with proto tcp6, Do I have to disable ipv6 on every service I have running on my 80 servers?  :-) I dont think so. I really think I'm going to let it this way now that I see there's not a problem with tc06. At the beginning I  thought it was a bug or something. Thanks for your answers.

BTW, do you know if disabling tpc6 improve performance in my boxes?

by: mwecomputersPosted on 2009-09-19 at 18:29:32ID: 25375584

Disabling IPv6 on Windows platforms does improve performance.

As for Linux, there are some documented cases where disabling IPv6 on Linux does improve network performance for applications like Firefox, DNS (bind) and Apache.
