Running Mandriva 2009.
I ws moving the botton bar off to one side (right) and went too far and it dissappered.
Can I get it back, or do I bite the bullet and reinstall.
I just put it on a couple of days ago, and haven't done much to it except turn off the screensaver and setup email, just been exploring and figure I would mess it up sooner or later, so a reinstall is no biggee. But I would like to learn to fix things when they are minor.

This isn't a superb solution, but from my early times playing aruond with the initial KDE4 release I found it much easier to just blow away the settings, or just the .kde4 folder in my home directory, than it was to work through and put things back in a working vanilla state.
You can make another account, then use root to blow away your real account's settings, or boot into single-user mode (init3) to do this simply

Nope. Nothing there.
I have been through everything I can find half a dozen times and don't see anything. I even went into Comfuzer(?) which has a ton of setting to play with, and nothing's there either.

Looks that way. Since I figured that was a good possibility, it gave me a chance to poke into things without worrying. : )
I think I will keep fiddling with it until I really fubar it, and keep a 'don't do that no more' list.

For what it's worth, I think I figured it out after I did the reinstall.
It seems to be under Add Widgets.
The Systray, Taskbar, and the other things on the panel are marked with a red dash next to the item.
You may have to do the Add Panel first, then the Add Widgets, but at the moment I am not inclined to experiment.
You can add it back there, but some of the distrubution specific stuff (I have a box with opensuse and another with archlinux) won't load up exactly the same, or I couldn't get it to. Some of the simple things like icons for the shutdown/lock buttons and such like.
G'luck though, you can always just backup the folder before you blow it away to copy any specific things you may want setting or rc wise within the configs.

Good to know for when I have it tweaked more.
As it was, I just nuked the whole thing and 30 minutes later I was up and surfing again. In a little over an hour I had Kmail and a few other things re-tweaked (would have been faster, but I still have to hunt for settings) ; )
Window would have still been installing. : D

Are you using KDE ?
Check out the system settings, there should be a section for the desktop second tab on top is for traybar.
