Revised Question fro previous post&.
I salvaged a Pentium3 Laptop that has 128RAM and runs Windows-ME. Initially, I want to run some sort of Linux OS (Ubuntu) along side of WinME (dont ask why), but also add it to my Wireless (broadband) Network. I already have an extra wireless adapter, but it is designed for WindowsXP.
Existing Wireless Network Configuration:
One Linksys Wireless-G Router [WRT54GS]
Two XP Desktop Computers
Two Vista Notebook Computers
Extra Wireless Adapter:
Linksys Wireless-G Adapter [WUSB54GS]
I first attempted to install Ubantu, but soon realized the requirement of 256RAM minimum. I looked at Kubuntu, but it requires 256RAM minimum. I found Xubantu had a minimum 128RAM, but it comes with no applications such as a word processor and it does come with a photo editor that I probably will never use. Puppy Linux looked like a good alternative (allot smaller), but I am not to sure which is better.
So ultimately, which is going to allow me to run along side the existing operating system, let me add the wireless adapter and is easier to install?
