Problem configuring OpenLDAP on Debian 4.0

Tags: Linux, Debian, 4.0, Install OpenLDAP
I got a server runnning Debian 4.0. I downloaded and installed OpenLDAP using the command apt-get install libldap2 ldap-utils slapd, it installed it and it asked me for administrator's password. My problem is I missed some configuration steps.

1) it did not show the screen in settin gup the DNS domain name.
2)it did not show the screen setting up the organization's name. What did I do wrong? Why did I miss the said configuration settings screen and it went directly to Assigning LDAP administrator's password screen?
3) Aslo I was not presented the option to enable the older LDAP protocol, version 2. Where in I should "accept the default behavior and stick to version 3. and make sure No is selected an d press enter to conitnue". Why did I miss this screen?

Was there something wrong in doing apt-get install libldap2 ldap-utils slapd? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
