Redhat, Install APT-GET and APT from YUM

Asked by superlative in Red Hat Linux, Linux Setup, RPM Installer

Tags: install, apt, yum

Hi,

I'm about to go mad and jump off a cliff it appears apparent there is no simple answer to do something so easy. Everything found on google is dated around 2004. No help. Please would like a quick response.

I have a Redhat server. It has YUM installed. I'm trying to use the apt-get command which doesnt appear to be installed.

When i try to use 'yum install apt' it comes back with a not found answer.

I have looked at yum.conf and I guess i need some more CURRENT sources that actually work so that YUM can find the common apt package to install.

Can somebody give me some sources and tell me how to get this prick YUM to understand and find apt so i can install it?

Over and out. Mercy.Start Free Trial
