Browse All TopicsHi guys!
Im trying to unmount a directory which points to a remote share.
I have unmounted it successfully, and now I want to remove this mount.
The mount is /mnt/netbackups
I keep getting the message...
rm: cannot remove directory 'netbackups': Device or resource busy.
Is this some kind of a lock on this folder?
Is there any way for me to check if this is the case, and how can i remove this directory?
I have restarted the smb services to no effect.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

you may use lsof or fuser to find out which process is using this dir (open) and then kill it (be careful in killing processes):
LSOF.php rary/cmd/b lcmdl1_fus er.htm
fuser -u /mnt/netbackups
lsof -D /mnt/netbackups
