How can I see queued messages in mail.box on Linux Domino server?

I know Domino on Windows and have a client that has a mix of Domino on Windows and Linux.  The Windows servers are running R7 and the Linux servers are running R5.  Yesterday we had an issue in which outbound messages were not received.  We didn't identify the route cause until today because the mail.box showed that it was empty, however we found out that the messages were in fact being stored on the Domino server.  How can I see the mail queue for Domino on Linux?
