openSUSE 11 and Samba/Ldap as PDC

Hi

Trying to upgrade to SuSE 11.0 (from 10.3), so I've built a SuSE 11.0 PDC using Samba/Ldap. I've done this in version 9 & 10, and always got it to work.
 
My WinXP box can join the domain without any problems, but when I try to log in with a domain account I get "Domain is not available". When adding a domain user to the a local security group I get "Trust relationship Failed"

I've tried the suggested fix (upgrading openldap2), but this has not worked for me.

The original guide I followed: http://en.opensuse.org/Howto_setup_SUSE_as_SAMBA_PDC_with_OpenLDAP,_DYNDNS_and_CLAM

Can anyone offer any advice?

Hello,

Have you been able to find a resolution to this problem. I am in almost the same situation.  I can join the Samba domain, but after a reboot I cannot log into the domain as immediately receive a domain not available message.

I can however log into the local machine and add a domain user i just had to use the domain\root account as credentials.

I have spent countless hours trouble shooting this issue.  I have retraced my setup steps multiple times going off the how to's and examples on the samba.org site.   I am running openldap 2.4.11 already.

I hope someone can assist with this problem.

Well, I managed to get it sorted. There is 2 ways:
1) Update to the newest samba using Online Updated (the newer version doesn't have this bug)
2) Run the following:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/samba:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.0/network:samba:STABLE.repo
zypper ref
zypper up -t package

Thanks so much, I hadn't even considered updating Samba as I had just installed it 2 to 3 weeks ago.  That did fix the problem though.
