Hi,
I'm trying to setup disk quota's on SLES 10.2 root (/) file system. The configuration is correct, however, when trying to turn quota on (quotaon /) i get the following error.
Checking quotas. This may take some time.
quotaon: using //aquota.group on /dev/sda2 [/]: Invalid argument
quotaon: Maybe create new quota files with quotacheck(8)?
quotaon: using //aquota.user on /dev/sda2 [/]: Invalid argument
quotaon: Maybe create new quota files with quotacheck(8)?
This error exists in the boot.msg file also.
Is there a way to sort this out?

Are the /aquota.group and aquota.user files exist? Try running the quotacheck as advised
