Walking through the SUSE installation wizard - I didn't notice it ask me if I wanted to dual boot nor seem aware that Kubuntu was already on there. Anyone have some tips on how I can get these two to peacefully coincide? Did I just miss something during the SUSE installation process?

There are no special settings, when installing the boot manager, OpenSuSe should detect Kubuntu (and if not you can always add it manually).
Just make sure, you won't erase the partitions Kubuntu resides on.
