Play mms files in ubuntu , mplayer , firefox

Hello guys,

Is it possible to play mms files for example ( mms:196.174.126.197/example-stream-only )
using ubuntu and mplayer ?

are there any cross OS players (vlc,real linux) that can play mms files, or any plugins and codexcs?

VLC can play MMS streams, but remember to use mms://ip/stream not mms:ip/stream.
