Hi friends !
I have 20 GB hard disk. While installing Windows XP, I made two partitions each of 10 GB approx. I installed XP on first partition. It is C:. I didn't format another partition so it was showing me RAW in Disk Management.
Then I boot from the Ubuntu Desktop 6.06 LTS CD. When it asked where to install OS, I didn't choose format entire disk. Rather than this, I chose Resize the hda and use the free space.
Ubuntu was installed successfully. At the end of the installation, it stated something like this...
Setup found another operating system called Windows XP. So if you want to have an option to choose among these two operating systems to boot, then GRUB boot loader will write the information at MBR of the hard disk. Press YES to do so...
Now when I boot from Windows XP, I formated the RAW partition with FAT32 (It is 10 GB approx.). It was given drive letter D:.
I also noticed that the C: system partition is now 5 GB only.
Q:1 I think that Ubuntu OS has taken 5 GB from the C: partition of Windows XP. Am I right ?
Q:2 Now how can I access these C: and D: partitions from Ubuntu command-line terminal ?
Q:3 When I insert the Pen/Flash USB device in USB port, it is detected automatically. But how can I mount this device manually through command-line in Ubuntu command-line terminal ?
Please guide me.
Thanks with regards...
Hemant
