Here's what I get on the server, when I type that in the terminal while logged on the server.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsSo I enabled this setting in System > Administration > Login Window called XNEST
it worked once.. I could actually log in , and it was pretty nice, even resized the screen to fit my laptop just like windows RDP, but then after i logged out and tried again it failed, something about missing fonts... wth....
I installed everything in synaptic with the word xdmcp in it... besides the KDM component. I did install the GDM one of course.
Added a new user, but I don't even get a login screen, I get a blank screen, the computer complains about missing fonts.. in another error popup from the "Terminal Server Client"
So close.... damn...
Oh almost forgot..
HOST = Ubuntu 9.04 x64 (my Toshiba laptop)
SERVER = Ubutnu 9.04 x64 (big desktop computer in other room)

Hmm,
Try this in a terminal
Xnest :1 -query <your big box hostname>
It's not the font that is the problem, it's the X-server (the last 2 lines) that is giving you the problems...
