I am setting up a POS system and can't find any drivers for the Epson TM-T88 Thermal printer. Epson doesn't support or provide linux drivers. Any ideas?

From what I can see on Epson's site without dowloading their windows drivers, it looks like you could probably talk directly to the printer and have the application emit the necessary control codes to manipulate the printer. And for a POS system that's what I'd think you'd want anyhow.
A printer driver on a Linux/Unix system would normally be used at the print spooler level which isn't how I'd think you'd want a POS system to work. With a spooler, as far as the application is concerned, the job is successful once it's been passed to the spooler. Of course that means that the application doesn't know if the job actually got printer or when. However, if the 'driver' is actually a part of the application and talks directly to the device you can code in error handling and you can know when and if the job printed.
