Asked by sjaguar13 in Linux Printing
I have a Star Micronics thermal receipt printer. I installed CentOS 5.1, which comes with CUPS. I then downloaded the drivers, did a 'make install', and then added a new printer. I can hit print, select CUPS/TSP600 and then hit OK. The CUPS job page says the job started. Then, it will say it stopped. The printer prints nothing. The test print won't even print. I have used the printer with the same parallel cable on a Windows computer, and it prints fine. Why won't it work with CentOS?
