The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Full fledged web/domain/mail server

I plan to host a hoard of websites with large traffic (about 8GB per week) on a RedHat 7 system. I would like to know as much details about the installation of the software as possible. I don't need help with Apache,MySQL,PHP or SSL, I am more concerned about the mail server and the domain server setup. My existing system runs on someon elses backbone, and I've never had to worry about setting any of these up in the past (only the Apache etc.), but now I want to run my own services from my own connection. This is where things start getting gray for me. I've found a company that offers me excellent rates for huge bandwidth access ( I can place my box directly on their backbone and do whatever I wan't with my box) and I want to use that to the full. So basically, I will need to know how to configure my box to host all those domains, and have the entries for those domains on my own box, so that I don't have to contact someone else or work on another machine if i need to add domains to the web. Same for the mail. At present there are about 220 dot com's that are to be hosted on this server, each with their own mail etc. Please help me with as much info as possible. Also some recommendations for mail servers etc. seeing that this box must be "SUPER" secure, I would also like some firewall info. I'm especially hoping jlevie could share some thoughts here...:)
