Winmodem in Mandrake 9.0??

Hello guys, I am a relative newbie when it comes to Linux and am having trouble accessing the net with my winmodem. I know that this topic has been asked a million time but I have tried sites like linmodems.org and have only found drivers for Mandrake 8.2, and I am using Mandrake 9.0. I tried installing the drivers anyway, but that didn't do anything at all, does anyone know how to make Mandrake 9.0 recognize my crappy winmodem?
