How do I boot Linux on a Windows 2000 machine without altering NTFS

I want to run linux, but I don't want Linux to mess around with my Windows 2000 NTFS partitions or install LILO.

What I am looking for is similar to BeOS configuration where the OS is a file residing in my NTFS partition.

And when I want to start linux I simply pop the boot floppy in the drive and reboot my system.

Is this possible? I'd prefer to run RedHat. I haven't tried linux since RedHat 7.0 since I haven't had the time and I hear the codebase has matured a lot then. I tried the BeOS, but it didn't like my NIC or Video card. So I'm hoping that Linux will.

And it would be especially cool if I could have like 3 different bootdisks booting to different linux installs.

Am I dreaming or is this possible?

I have a Linksys LNE100TX NIC. I don't know which revision.

and my graphics card is an All in wonder Radeon graphics card. (It's a bit old so I imagine it should work fine in linux now.)
