send remote command to Windows from Linux

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering whether someone out there could help me. I would like to know whether it is possible to send a remote command from Linux to a Window box. An example would be from
within a shell or perl script running under Linux send a remote command to Windows to restart a service such as SQL Server or IIS.
