mplayer on fedora

hy!
i instaled the sources for mplayer for fedora but when i writ in terminal MPLAYER this is what i see:

 -nosound         do not play sound

instead of a nice GUI like i sow in a magazine.it seams i can  play my movies only from command line.A good thing is that if i double click a movie file and select mplayer it opens directly.my wish is to open mplayer in GUI.is that posible?
