Question
linux memory loss
Hi,
Until recently I thought Linux was the best thing since sliced bread. I began noticing that every few days JSP would not work. I had to reboot. This AM I noticed that when JSP failed again the amount of free memory was very small - JSP had no breathing room. After I rebooted the amount of free memory was substantial. Then I began watching the free memory - it began shrinking on its own for no apparent reason. I executed the command 'top' and you could see the amount of free memory being drained w/ nothing apparently running. I am running Rde Hat 9.0 (kernel v2.4.20-6).
If I cannot resolve the memory loss then I will be forced to reboot every few days. Perciesly what I had been faulting Windows for.
