Question
VMware to first hard drive bypassing bootloader
Hello- I have two hard drives in my machine. The first hard drive has Windows XP Pro and the second hard drive has Suse Linux 9.3. I have been using Linux on this machine for sometime now and do not want to go back to Windows. However, I would like to run my Windows XP through VMware instead of having to reboot my machine. I have already created a new partition in VMware and installed Windows XP Pro on it, however, I would like to use the first hard drive with all my settings on it instead. Whenever I try this, of course, grub gets in the way and it errors out. Is there a way that I can use VMware to read the first hard drive without using the bootloader that is installed on my first hard drive?
