VNC GUI - Fedora 4

I tried running VNC last night and I was able to login to my Fedora box from my XP box but I didn't get a GUI all I got was a terminal with a grey background. Am I missing something else that needs to be done besides uncommenting the 2 lines in the ~/.vnc/xstartup in order to get a GUI?

exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc #<=== uncommented this line
