Browse All TopicsI just installed Fedora Core 4 and this time installed KDE and all it's goodies. Previously I only used the shell without any GUI. My problem is that after the installation finished, I cannot get into any graphical screen. The server runs fine and I can get into the command line and manage it that way, but I cannot get into the graphical interface. I tried both a cheap monitor and a very expensive one, thinking that the cheap monitor didn't have the capability to display the resolution, but I know the good monitor did have this capability, but it also failed. I can watch the server startup, and then just as I think it is going into the GUI mode, the monitor turns blank and there is no signal. I can press ctrl-alt-F1 and get into it on the console using a command prompt, but no GUI. I can also access it via SSH, run my linux router, and apache, dhcpd, etc. It's only the GUI that doesn't work. Can anyone help me figure out how to troubleshoot this?
