Trash in Linux

 HI,
                i just want to know , where we can find 'Trash' ( Recyclebin in Windows) folder in Linux(redhat). Normally, i use the command, ' rm -rf  <folder-name>' to delete folders. Now i want to recover some deleted folders. Is it not possible to recover the directories which are delelted using the command  ' rm -rf ' ?  Please help me in this regards
