Trying to do professional webdevelopment all in Linux - IE browser verification possible ?

Hi,

I try to become more professional in web-development,
but wonder if I can do so while staying exclusively within my
familiar Linux environment Biggest obstacle seems to
verify usability of my development in an IE browser.
Fact is that IE is a browser that cannot be ignored, but
has it's own twists an bolts compared to other browser types,
so for sake of professionality testing sites with IE seems a must . . .
. . . so is there an option to have an IE or at least a 'virtual' IE available
within Linux for testing sites ? All other required tools, LAMP setup for testing,
image editing, ... available and fine within Linux and I can't I invest in second box
with Windows on it right now, nor do I like to boot in and out all the time for an IE that
would be installed on a dual boot Windows. Any ideas, maybe someone
experience with IE and wine ?
