RocketRaid 1520, with 2 x SATA disk, configured in bios as RAID 0
Single IDE disk
Clean install of FC5 - LVM on sda (Raid Disk), /home mounted
Everything else mounted on hda - I like to keep the OS stuff separate from the user data
Install went well. Created and used a driver disk for the 1520.
System booted
Ran Software update, which updated to the latest kernel.
System now refuses to boot - tries to run fsck with error "no such file /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00"
Old kernel still boots
I suspect that the problem is the 1520 driver being specific to the old kernel (I'm guessing here), but have no idea what to do.
I'm happy to re-install if needed.
I did read one post on not using the 1520 raid (config as JBOD, I assume), but using Linux RAID instead. Would I still require the driver for the 1520?
