Browse All TopicsI am constantly having to reinstall my OS's (for development testing, trying new OS's, etc). My main concern is for my web data. I keep all my websites on a separate partition, so when I erase and reinstall the OS, all I have to do is just point the web server to my website partition. My problem is that I am constantly having to install and reupload all my files back into MySQL, which is store on the OS partition. Is it a problem to install MySQL on a separate partition so when I reinstall the OS, all I have to do is point to the MySQL partition? I am using Linux and Apache. Please let me know if this is possible or if there is a better way to handle this. Thanks.
