Shut down VMWare ESX server box

Hi

I have a VMWare ESX 2.5 server running various Windows 2003 servers on it. I need to perform a memory upgrade to the box, and there have it powered down and up again.

My thought was to TS into the various host servers and shut them down one by one. I would then shut down the VMWare box itself, carry out the hardware change, and then back up.

Can anyone tell me if this is the correct way to carry this out? Also, what command would I need to give to shut down the VM box cleanly?

Hope someone can help, max points since it's urgent and would appreciate a full answer.Start Free Trial
