i don't know what this is all about.  i already read that.  i don't understand.  i thought gnome is an X.
i have xfce4  i use the command "startxfce4" to start my x

ummm.. right now i have to shutdown soon.. but i am trying to figger out what i want to
tie up the dingy.   i will start back up whenever.. i will try to use the command "startxfce4"
to start my X.  hopefully everything will be okay.  if something really kewl happens i will give
you points whenever it is i start back up.  perhaps tonite, but i am not sure.

btw.. i have restarted and nothing seems to have happened.  what is this gnome supposed to
be, anyway
