smbpasswd script without password promt

hey experts

i have a problem with linux smbpasswd

any way you can make a script so you dont get promted with new password ?
 like this  : smbsetpass username password
                 "password set"

its very hard to write scripts when the smbpasswd is asking for new password all the time.. i would like to write it in cleartext and the script compress it ? it would be nice
