I am trying to set up a dual monitor setup and some other display settings, and I have found this easiest with nvidia-settings. However, after switching to KDE/Kubuntu, I have found I can't run nvidia-settings this time around.
It comes up with an error message:
"You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server."
I have done both, even rebooted a few times and nothing changes. nvidia-xconfig is changing /etc/X11/xorg.conf as it should so there should be nothing wrong there.
Any suggestions?
