Can't read superblock error

Asked by sheepfarmer in Linux, Linux Administration, System Diagnostic Software

Tags: , ,

With reference to question http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Linux/Q_23069514.html I now have a duplicate of the original disk but have a problem mount the volume I need (same issue on the original disk, but the dd_rescue did not report any copy errors so I am assuming the disk is OK)

mount /dev/sdc2 /mydata
 returns
  mount: /dev/sdc2: can't read superblock

I assume the partition table has been corrupted.

Here is the partition table from the original disk and the copy (original listed first).
How can I go about getting /dev/sdc2 to mount.

Thanks
