Question

Find files with upper-case/lower-case name collisions on unix filesystem

I need a unix shell, PERL, AWK, (really anything) that can take a pathname as input and output a list of filename collisions where you have two or more files in the same subfolder.  So for example if I start at /user/myhome I'd do something like:

find_collisions.sh /user/myhome

If a folder in /user/myhome called myfolder (i.e. /user/myhome/myfolder) has two files like abc.txt and ABC.TXT I'd get output like:

/users/myhome/myfolder:
     abc.txt
     ABC.txt

etc....


It would descend the folder tree from the starting point and continue on down finding all possible collisions.
