How do I bypass Gnome on Startup?

Asked by rjohnsonjr in Linux, Linux Setup

Tags: CentOS, Linux, 4.6

I recently did an install of CentOS 4.6 and GNOME.

My video settings were not correct and Gnome Does not start correctly.

How can I stop Gnome from starting up so I can access the config files to correct the video settings and/or stop Gnome from starting automatically on start?
