Cant resolv name servers debian and rolv.conf is correct

Asked by spotcher in Linux, Network Management, Network Operations

I cant ping any domains but I can ip, I have 3 servers running debian. They all worked with the name server just fine and sudenly stopped working. I am colocating at a data center, the isp swears the name server ip info is correct and they didnt change a thing on there network.  Is there a command I can run agaisnt those ip addresses to find out if there functional and working properly like nslookup. I went thru blog after blog every single issue that I have seen has to do with resolv.conf info being incorrect and it seems like most people were able to fix it bye correcting "resolv.conf" but not the case for me I tried every variation in the book. If anyone can lead me in the right path I would be forever in your debt.Start Free Trial
