Browse All TopicsNightly, I'm doing whole /home backup with tar command. This part works fine.
The side effect is that pagecache is polluted with tar read data and lot of processes is swapped out after the tar finished(to enlarge the pagecache).
Can I somehow tell to tar(or similar) to use fadvise(or similar) and tell the OS to not cache the read data? The data is surely read only once a day.
