how to check cron job is running or not

i have installed linux shell client in my windows system.

connected the root through shell client and opened crontab file using editplus editor that is stored in /etc folder.

i have added 17th line to run my shell script in crontab fle for every minute.i didnt get any mail ;where can i see the log whether its executed or not.
