Hi , I am looking for optimal disk settings for our centos5 linux server.
1. propietary database. averages 200 reads/sec 150 writes/sec, 10K in size avg for both
2. ext3
3. hardware raid 1-0, total of 8 sas hard drives
The stripe size we normally chose is 16k which seems to best for our 10k avg r/w's.
If 16k is indeed best, what ext3 block size should we choose? And stride size?
Thank You.
