I'm using SystemRescue CD for remote system repairs of the Windows 98/2000/XP operating systems. While copying files with Midnight Commander or CP command, the hidden and system attributes are left behind.
So, I'm looking for a way to copy files and directories with proper file attributes handling, while using remote access through SSH.
I do understand, the problem with the attributes is caused by a completely different attributes handling in the Linux. Still, I'm not going to give up easily, because of it just seems to be impossible.
