Hi
I am after a solution for Real time data backup.
Let me explain to you , what i meant :
i had an interview few days ago ( did not get the job anyway!!!) how ever ..
they had few server, Really busy, where ppl upload data constantly (Delete aswell) its a web server .
so they have some backup Server where data backed up Constantly.
NOw my question is to those ppl who deals with Busy Server .. how you guys keeps backup
Like in my organization
(a)I am using ( RSYNC) with crontab - which runs ok but again i do over night . so any server fails suppose 3 pm, we will lose 4 or 5 hours of data. I know i can use RSYNC in Every minutes to make it more efficient.. but it would not be like REAL TIME
(B) I can use GFS with Clustering ( but i would not go for this options right now)
(C) Soft link backup ... - I liked this concept but i dont know how flexible this would be ...
So what others concept you guys use ??
no paid software .
Thanks
