unable to boot pc with linux CD!!!

Hi

I never seen this before, so hopeing some one seen this ..

I got 2 old pc( 6 or 7 years old , with windows 98 installed)
i am trying to install cantos on that..

this pc is booting with any windows boot able disk( windows 2000,2003,anthing) ..
EVen its booting  with knopsis 6 ..
but it would not boot with Centos CD 1  or even DVD!!!

note :(a) this centos cd is bootable and working order , its working with other pc
         (b) I tryed with new bootable centos cd 1, no luck
         (c) I tryed with fedora 7 no luck

i am gusssing something on the bios is causing the problem

but dont understand what!!

its phonix bios version 4.6 ( its old)
AGan the issue is : Its  not booting  ( its not the issue of installing)
