Asked by TDS in Linux, Backup & Restore Software, Hard Drives & Storage
Hello,
I've made a snapshot with LVM utils. That thing went well.
But now our XenServer is broken. We reinstalled it but we can't restore the Snapshot Images (made with "lvcreate -L8G -s -n $lvbackup $lvm_vol" and "dd if=\"$lvm_vol_backup\" bs=128k | gzip -c > \"$backup_file\" via bash script).
Now the question is: How to restore such images?
Testdisk say that it can't find a partition. But if I search for "Microsoft" in one of the images, it shows all of the things inside a ntfs file system (for example the fax driver name for Windows).
Can somebody help us?
Thanx in advance.
