How to clone a linux box?

I have a fairly complicated install on CentOS.

What's the easiest way to make a copy for dev purposes? I'd like to avoid setting up everything all over again.

Perhaps lvm snapshots?  a simple rsync?

The production machine is a physical host... A VM would likely be find for development... Maybe one of the many Physical to Virtual tools available would work?

I'm looking for the easiest way in terms of man-hours... Ideally after the copy only the IP addresses would need to be reconfigured...

Thanks for your help,

 -Eric

Thanks for all the great tools.

The R1soft solution is particularly helpful since I can do it without taking my production system offline... I'll have to use it in conjunction with one of the other copy tools.

Thanks,
