  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Linux SUSE 7.2 configuration...

I used Linux SUSE 7.2 heavily for about 3 months around three summers ago, and now I'm trying to get it going again. I have forgotten most of what I learned (it's killing me!) and I need help on how to get things rolling again.
I'm having trouble getting the Yast2 configured correctly, particularly the network/internet settings. Apache, however, seems to be running well...
If I boot Linux on the one box where it's instaslled (it also runs Windows 200 server on another hard drive) Apache takes over the network and my two other computers cannot get online. If I hit the routher at http://192.168.5.1 , I get the Linux server localhost window (which is a good thing). However, I cannot get online... I've tried multiple setups and I can't get to the web...
I'm also having trouble configuring this through the Terminal. I got the old UNIX book out as I try to get going again, but I really want to get it online, more than anything...
Should I format the drive and go with a newer version of Linux SUSE? Maybe RedHat or Mandraque?
I kind of want to get this one rolling, as there's a lot of web work in php that I want to work on again now that I have the time...  
I'll appreciate any help/advice/recommendations from here on out.
