Setting Up Linux Server: Jsp and Oracle

Hey,
I have installed Oracle, and Apache Tomcat  both in win machines. But now, I need to set-up a Linux server for a JSP app, oracle-backed, oracle and Tomcat will be in the same Linux machine.

No idea how to start. Anyone knows a step-by-step guide, or any sugesstions.

here also a good site for installing oracle in RH http://www.puschitz.com/OracleOnLinux.shtml

I have tried install oracle in RH9.0 and you must have the Xwindows up and running, if not you can't install. But due to my budget I can have the oracle in my office :(

Hey paullamhkg,
  Just a thought to your situation, you could take another system, and run a Xwindows server client on it, and do an install while porting the display to that sytem.  This way if you don't have X windows working on the system that you are installing Oracle on, you could just tell the executable to point the display over to the machine that does.  If you are doing this from a Windows system, you could get Cygwin's XFree86 implementation of it and SSH to the Redhat box and forward the display back to your windows or whatever box.

Just a thought.

I can have Xwindows on my RH9.0 only that I didn't have budget to buy the oracle to use, the one I use is a trial version from my vendor :(
