Browse All TopicsI recently purchased a 23" Apple Cinema Display (the new ones with the DVI connector). Shortly after buying it, I discovered that I needed DVI cards in order to use it with my Linux (Suse 9.1 and Fedora Core 1) and Windows boxes. I bought 3 ATI Radeon 9600 LE cards. Installing on Windows was a breeze - I just needed to use the Radeon CD to install the drivers. With Linux, I'm lost. Has anyone successfully setup a Cinema display on Linux?
Thanks,
Matt

ATI has binary driver for Linux on the web site: http://www.ati.com/support /drivers/l inux/radeo n-linux.ht ml? type=li nux&prodTy pe=graphic &prod=prod uctsLINUXd river& subm it.x=14&su bmit.y=11
Have you tried this driver? If not, make sure that you download the correct version. SuSE 9.1 is shipped with XFree86 4.3.99. I suspect that Fedora Core 1 has a comparable version.
And no, I don't have any experience with the Cinema display, but the first step is to get the graphics card working.
